At 11.22 am of the morning of the 17th July 1969, the Fireboat Massey Shaw received an emergency call to attend a fire at Dudgeons Wharf, Manchester Road, Isle of Dogs.

With a Christmas festivities now finished Massey’s volunteers have started to get things prepared for the New Year.

On Saturday 14th October 2017 the volunteer crew of Massey Shaw set off from West India Dock and took her up river to use the Port of London Authority (PLA) drying out facility – known as Kew Grid – alongside Strand on the Green, opposite Oliver’s Island.
