The bow, forepeak and wheelhouse. Crew Space Stories – Episode 4

Episode 4 of our Crew Space Stories has David Rogers explore the bow, forepeak and wheelhouse.

The bow houses the capstan which operates the anchor and was used for mooring alongside boats or buoys to deploy fire fighting equipment. Underneath the capstan is the forepeak where hose and fire fighting equipment was stored.

The wheelhouse was originally designed without a roof, “why do that” I hear you ask!? Watch the video to find out!
