Isle of Dogs audio board walk tour launch

Isle of Dogs audio board walk tour launch

On Wednesday 6th April 2016 residents and local interest groups joined together to take part in the launch of the Island Board Walk project.

This great project offers an in depth walking tour around the Isle of Dogs for all ages and is supported by local research and an audio tour.

WHAT IS THE ISLAND BOARD WALK?

Sourced from The Island Board Walk website:

Island Board Walk is a public platform for people living on the Isle of Dogs to promote their stories and experiences of living on the island. Join in the rediscovery of the Isle of Dogs heritage board walking-trail, first installed 20-years-ago, now updated to feature unseen images and personal accounts of island life from the locals who tell it best.

MASSEY SHAW’S INVOLVEMENT

As residents of the Isle of Dogs (how to find us), the Trust was approached by the team organising the walk, to contribute to the audio tour and help to update one of the information boards located around on the island.

The audio tour is available to download on the official board walk website here: www.islandboardwalk.com/audio-trail/

Volunteers from the Trust provided information for the audio tour, so a thank you goes out to Bill Hickin, Rodney Morgan and David Rogers.

You will find information about Massey Shaw at point number 4 on the tour map. If you find it, why not send us a photo on Twitter or Facebook!
